The Joys of Training

My new job means that I have to drive into the organization’s headquarters for training every few months. Training is what it is: 8 hour days of lectures and educational exercises. It’s like being in school all over again. The Department’s headquarters are right next to the Buffalo Trace Distillery. I suppose it had to happen some time.

I’ve been delaying writing this post. I guess I thought if I didn’t post it and didn’t talk about it, it wouldn’t be real. I’m officially a grown up. I have a big kid job in Eastern Kentucky. I am a public defender and I am so proud of everything I have accomplished. Unfortunately it also means that I am no longer a kid. I can’t just runaway when things get tough.
