That Neil Gaiman quote really sums up exactly why books are so important to me. I am a self proclaimed nerd, library card and all. I love to read, but sometimes I convince myself that I don’t have the time to read. That is a lie I tell myself, and I am going to stop lying to myself. I love reading. I love entering a new world and learning about it as I learn about the characters. I love flawed characters and I love beautiful landscapes and sweet romances.
My TBR (to be read) pile is getting taller and taller every day and I am finally starting to make a dent in it. Remy tries to nibble on my books. I think he is just trying to dive into the books like I do. Or he is a puppy who is teething and will chew on anything and every thing in sight.
This is what my reading typically looks like. A book, a cup of tea or coffee or hot chocolate and Remington cuddled up on my lap. Right now I am reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. It is really quite good, every thing I love in a book. A new world, a compelling main character, and bonus it is just the first in a trilogy. I’m planning to post a bookish blog post every Thursday. Hopefully this will keep me from lying to myself.
