About

I’m just a thirty-something trying to figure it all out. A Pennsylvania transplant living in Lexington, Kentucky with my miniature dachshund, Remington. This little piece of the internet is my place to talk about books, food, travel and all of the other things that I find exciting on this path that I have created. My path is pretty winding, but I promise the destination doesn’t matter. The journey is the adventure.

Why North Coast?

When I was in law school in Cleveland, my friends and I would joke that were living on the North Coast, due to Cleveland’s Lake Erie coastline. I no longer live in Cleveland, but that city will always be a part of me.

Where are you Wandering?

J.R.R. Tolkien is one of my favorite author’s. He has a poem with the line, “Not all those who wander are lost.” The poem is beautiful, but that line, in particular, means a lot to me. There was a time that I felt like I had no plan, no path, and was utterly and hopelessly lost. Eventually, I realized that I wasn’t lost, I was just forging my own path. I had that line tattooed on my wrist (in Elvish) to remind myself that even when I don’t quite know where my path will lead, I am not lost. Traveling is also a huge part of my life. I tend to half plan my adventures because while I want some stability and assurances of a place to sleep, I also like to see what will come my way and change my plans as the trip evolves.
